Everything you need to know about purchasing, licensing, and using Redactor

Can I add a Suite or tool later?

Yes. You can purchase any Suite or Additional Tools separately from your account after buying Redactor Core.

Can Redactor be used in open-source projects?

You can use it, provided that your product, which includes Redactor, is not publicly available, such as on GitHub.

What I get after purchase?

After the purchase, you will have a personal account in which you can download Redactor and its updates at any time. The editor comes in an archive with a production version and source code.

How do updates and major upgrades work?

Redactor Core includes one year of updates within its current major version. New major versions are optional paid upgrades with a 50% discount for existing customers.

Suites and Additional Tools receive free updates while used with the current Redactor Core major version. A paid add-on upgrade may be required when moving to a new major version of Core.

Renewals and upgrades are not automatic.

Is the license renewed automatically after a year?

The license will not be renewed automatically. It is up to you to decide when to update your license if you need to upgrade to the new major version.

What about VAT and sales tax?

VAT may be included in the final price if you are from the European Union. US Sales tax is not in value because we are European company.

Does the Assistant Suite include AI usage?

No. The Assistant Suite provides the editor interface and integration layer. You connect it to your own backend and model provider and pay any provider usage costs directly. Imperavi does not charge per request or token.

Do Suites include Redactor Core?

No. Suites and Additional Tools are add-ons for Redactor Core. New customers need both a Core license and the selected add-on. Existing Core customers can purchase add-ons separately through their account.
